Berlin hosts top car design conference

How do we mass-produce must-have cars? This is the burning issue which will be debated at the first global Interior Motives Design Conference, to be held at the Radisson SAS Hotel in Berlin, Germany between 27-29 June.

An annual forum for leading designers and experts from automotive design and technology to come together with the extended design world – with designers and experts from areas such as fashion, architecture and furniture design.

The aim is to provide the automotive design community with the best platform for learning, discussion and advancement within automotive design, particularly – but no exclusively – in the area of automotive interior design.

The conference starts with a cocktail reception on the evening June 27. This is an ideal chance for delegates and speakers to mingle during the first of many networking opportunities. Also an exquisite gala dinner will be held at the Dachgarten Restaurant in the German parliament building – The Reichstag.

At the time of going to press, the final programme is being drawn up. Sessions include:
§         Evolution: how do we speed up the automotive design/development process?
§         Advancing interior design: emotional design in the absence of speed
§         Design for people who don’t want a plastic environment
§         How do we elevate and evolve automotive design
§         Automotive design and its place in the world.
